Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Agreement

Please read these official rules (the “Official Rules”) carefully. They contain important information about your rights and obligations, as well as limitations and exclusions that may apply to you if you enter the Children’s Camps International 1949 Ford F1 Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) sponsored by Children’s Camps International Inc (the “Sponsor”).

By participating in the Sweepstakes, you signify your agreement to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and RAVEN5 Ltd., (the “Administrator”). If you do not agree to the Official Rules, you may not enter the Sweepstakes.

2. Sweepstakes Period

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on April 1, 2023 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on September 30, 2023 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).

Please note that the Sweepstakes Period consists of a grand prize entry period, a second prize entry period, and three (3) bi-monthly entry periods (each, a “Bi-Monthly Entry Period”) during which entries for the applicable prize must be received.

Each entry period has its own entry end date (deadline) and entrants will not be entered for a chance to win any prize after the end of its entry period (all as outlined below in the Entry Period Schedule).

3. Eligibility

The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents Canada (excluding Quebec) of who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry (“Participant”, “entrant” or “you”).

Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives or agents of Sponsor, its parent companies and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers of prizes, advertising and promotion agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Parties”), and the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) of, and/or those living in the same household of each, are not eligible to enter.

The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, territorial, municipal and local laws and regulations. If it is found that a person who does not meet the eligibility criteria set forth in these rules has submitted an entry, that entry will be deemed ineligible. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility requirements. Void outside Canada, in the Province of Quebec and wherever else prohibited by law.

4. How to Enter

There is no purchase necessary to enter the Sweepstakes. Making a purchase will not improve your chances of winning.

There are three (3) ways to enter the Sweepstakes:

1) Online Purchase Entry

During the Sweepstakes Period, visit https://www.cciwinatruck.ca/ (the “Sweepstakes Website”) and follow the instructions to complete the online entry form. You will be required to (a) select how many entries you would like to purchase, (b) provide your first name, last name, email address, postal code, (c) provide your credit card information, and (d) attest to full compliance with these Official Rules and the Sponsor’s privacy policy (as further described below).

Entrants will receive entries based on the purchase amount per the following chart:

1 entry for a $20 purchase;
3 entries for a $50 purchase;
7 entries for a $100 purchase;
100 entries for a $1,000 purchase.

2) Physical Purchase Entry

Entries may be purchased in person at select automotive trade shows or events (each, an “Event Venue”) across Canada. Locate a Sponsor representative at an Event Venue to purchase and complete a physical entry ticket (a “Ticket”). The Ticket will require you to provide your first name, last name, email address, and phone number. Payment for Physical Purchase Entries must be made in cash.

Entrants will receive entries based on the purchase amount per the following chart:

1 entry for a $20 purchase;
3 entries for a $50 purchase;
7 entries for a $100 purchase;
100 entries for a $1,000 purchase.

3) Free Method of Entry

To enter the Sweepstakes without making a purchase, handprint your first name, last name, email address, address, city, province, postal code, and phone number, and the words: Children’s Camps International 1949 Ford F1 Sweepstakes followed by a hand-written 150-word unique and original essay on “Why I support Children’s Camps International”, on a 3” x 5” piece of paper and mail it in a stamped #10 envelope to: Children’s Camps International 1949 Ford F1 Sweepstakes c/o RAVEN5, B9-461 North Service Road W., Oakville, Ontario, L6M 2V5 to receive three (3) entries into the Sweepstakes (herein, a “Mail-in Entry”). Limit: one (1) Mail-In Entry per postmarked envelope.

All Mail-in Entries must be handwritten, postmarked by September 30, 2023 and received by October 5, 2023. All Mail-in Entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified.

There is no limit to the number of entries a Participant may receive, regardless of entry method.

Online Purchase Entries and Physical Purchase Entries are non-refundable. Entries shall be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the entry. For the purpose of these Official Rules, “authorized account holder” of an e-mail address is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning the submitted email address. Each selected entrant may be required to provide the Sponsor with proof that the selected entrant is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a selected entrant based on the email address, the selected entrant will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the email address at the time of entry.

Entries which are incomplete, illegible, or fraudulent are null and void. The Sponsor accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, misdirected, or delayed for any reason. The Sponsor accepts no responsibility for incomplete entries, the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, including but not limited to, as a result of malfunction, human error, lost, delayed or garbled Internet or email transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone, technical, network, online, hardware or software or any combination thereof.

5. Prizes/Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) / Odds

Grand Prize: One (1) grand prize is available to be won, consisting of a 1949 Ford F1 Truck (the “Grand Prize”).

The ARV of the Grand Prize is $45,000.00 CAD.

Second Prize: One (1) second prize is available to be won, consisting of an Aluma 8220 Utility Tilt Trailer (the “Second Prize”).

The ARV of the Second Prize is $20,000.00 CAD.

Bi-Monthly Prizes: Three (3) bi-monthly prizes are available to be won, each consisting of $500.00 CAD (each, a “Bi-Monthly Prize”)

The ARV of each Bi-Monthly Prize is $500.00 CAD. The total ARV of all Bi-Monthly Prizes is $1,500.00 CAD.

The total ARV of all prizes is $66,500.00 CAD.

Odds of winning the Grand Prize or the Second Prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period; odds of winning a Bi-Monthly Prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received during each Bi-Monthly Entry Period.

Prize Conditions

All expenses related to the acceptance or use of any prize are the sole responsibility of each winner. All applicable taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Grand Prize Winner will be required to provide proof of a valid drivers’ license, satisfactory insurance and must be legally eligible to drive (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). Grand Prize winner must allow up to three (3) months for fulfillment after the end of the Sweepstakes.

Any costs or expenses incurred by any winner in claiming or using the Grand Prize or Second Prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner. Grand Prize and Second Prize must be accepted as described in these Official Rules and cannot be transferred to another person, substituted for another prize, or exchanged in whole or in part for cash, except that the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to substitute any prize, in whole or in part, for another prize of equal or greater value (including, without limitation, a cash prize). Any difference between the actual retail value and the approximate retail value/ARV stated above will not be awarded. All characteristics and features of the Grand Prize and the Second Prize will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion.

Prizes exclude any destination/freight charges. Prizes will be awarded “AS IS” including exact model, color, options, and condition. The ARV of all prizes as set forth above represents Sponsor’s good faith determinations of the ARV thereof and such determinations are final and binding and cannot be appealed.

By accepting a prize, prize winners agree to release the Released Parties from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by entering the Sweepstakes or for damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of the prize awarded.

6. Winner Selection and Notification

Administrator will select all potential winners in random drawings conducted at Administrator’s or it’s designee’s offices. Administrator’s decisions are final.

Grand Prize: One (1) potential winner will be selected from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period on or about October 6, 2023.

Second Prize: One (1) potential winner will be selected from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period on or about October 6, 2023.

Bi-Monthly Prizes: One (1) potential winner will be selected from all eligible entries received during Bi-Monthly Entry Period 1 on or about June 5, 2023.

One (1) potential winner will be selected from all eligible entries received during Bi-Monthly Entry Period 2 on or about August 1, 2023.

One (1) potential winner will be selected from all eligible entries received during Bi-Monthly Entry Period 3 on or about October 6, 2023.

All potential winners will be notified by the Administrator using the email provided at the time of entry. Administrator will make a minimum of two (2) attempts to contact each potential winner within forty-eight (48) hours of the drawing.

If any eligible potential winner cannot be contacted within seventy-two (72) hours of notification, if a prize is declined, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then the eligible potential winner may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Administrator, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit any and all rights to the prize) and Sponsor and Administrator reserve the right, at their discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant for the prize in a separate random drawing from the remaining eligible entries submitted and received in accordance with these Official Rules.

No one is a winner unless and until the Sponsor officially confirms him/her as a winner in accordance with these Official Rules.

Before being confirmed as a winner, the potential winner will be required to sign and return, within seventy-two (72) hours of notification, an Affidavit of Eligibility & Liability / Publicity Release form (the “Release“). In addition, the potential winner must correctly answer a time-limited skill-testing question without any assistance in order to become a winner. The skill-testing question may be part of the Release or may be provided separately.

Prizes will be delivered within approximately 90 days after each winner has been confirmed.

7. Limitation of Liability

By participating in the Sweepstakes and as a condition of acceptance of a prize, each entrant, his/her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, releases, waives, discharges, and holds harmless the Sponsor, Administrator, their respective parent companies, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers of prizes, advertising and promotion agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from, and against any and all loses, damages, rights, claims, actions, causes of action, personal injury, property damage or death (including without limitation any and all costs and liabilities of any kind including but not limited to lawyer’s fees), and including, without limitation, any such arising from any act of negligence of the Releases Parties, that the entrant now has, or may hereafter have against the Released Parties directly or indirectly resulting from participation of the Sweepstakes or the awarding, acceptance, use, or misuse of a prize. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in this Sweepstakes or use/misuse or redemption of a prize.

8. General

Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prizes. Sponsor is not responsible for incompatibility of Participants’ hardware, software or browser technology.

The Released Parties are not responsible for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged or illegible entries; or (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof; or (iii) any injury or damage to Participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes.

LEGAL WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT A PARTICIPANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, DESTROY, TAMPER WITH OR VANDALIZE THE WEBSITE OR INTERFERE WITH THE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SPONSOR’S FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF THAT PROVISION.

By participating in the Sweepstakes, you (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor and Administrator, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.

Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any Sweepstakes it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and (ii) withdraw a method of entry if it becomes technically corrupted (including if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Sweepstakes). If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to an infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, at which time, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received at the time of the Sweepstakes termination.

9. Disputes

Except where prohibited, Participants agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the Province of Ontario. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the Province of Ontario or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Province of Ontario. The remedy for any claim shall be limited to actual damages, and in no event shall any party be entitled to recover punitive, exemplary, consequential, or incidental damages, including attorney’s fees or other such related costs of bringing a claim, or to rescind this agreement or seek injunctive or any other equitable relief.

THE PARTIES HEREBY WAIVE THEIR RIGHT TO JURY TRIAL WITH RESPECT TO ALL CLAIMS AND ISSUES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT WHETHER SOUNDING IN CONTRACT OR TORT AND INCLUDING ANY CLAIM FOR FRAUDULENT INDUCEMENT THEREOF.

10. Privacy

Personal information collected from Participants will be used by Sponsor to administer this Sweepstakes, including to notify potential winners and to fulfill prizes. In addition, if you opt-in to receive communications, Sponsor may use this information to send you offers or information from us, our affiliates and from selected sponsors or advertisers (“Marketing Offers”). If you do not wish to receive Marketing Offers, you may opt-out at any time by following the instructions at the bottom of any email Marketing Offer you receive or emailing info@ccicamps.com and requesting that your personal information not be used for Marketing Offers.

Personal information collected is otherwise subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at https://cciwinatruck.ca/privacy.

11. Winners List Requests

To request a copy of the winners list (available after October 15, 2023), send an email to help@raven5.com with subject line: Children’s Camps International 1949 Ford F1 Sweepstakes Winners List Request. All requests must be received by December 15, 2023 at 4:59:59 PM ET. Requests received after this time will not be fulfilled.
